Simcity xbox one4/27/2023 ![]() ![]() I just prefer the more casual play of CS. It's pretty fun though and maybe something you might enjoy. It's more focused on management than just building. It's also less casual than both the other two IMO because there are constantly tasks/issues piling up that you need to address. It's pretty fun but not quite up to par with the above two. ![]() I've also played Tropico 4 (people tell me it's better than 5). I'd say it's a little harder to grasp all the details than CS but I'm having fun playing it. If your citizens die you lose, and it's Mars so nature is trying hard to kill your citizens. Surviving Mars is fun, and also made by paradox so the controls are similarly just fine on Xbox, although I prefer CS controls a little more. Unless you're playing one of the challenge modes which are fun. It's by far the most casual of the category, as there's nothing really that can end your game. The developer has been updating it since it's release two years ago and keeps adding DLCs. The Xbox version has some limitations compared to PC but the controls totally fine. Actually the base game is on game pass right now (free). I'm even confident enough to say buy the season pass right off the bat. You can check out the announcement trailer down below.I can't recommend cities skylines enough. SteamWorld Build is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC later in 2023. That’s been liberating in allowing us to put our own twist on SteamWorld and the city builder genre to craft an intuitive Anno-meets-Dungeon Keeper style system that we think is unlike anything else out there.” “We’ve put a lot of effort into making sure the game retains the charming character of previous entries, but we’re also lucky in that the SteamWorld series is all about trying new things. “Having the opportunity to work on an award-winning franchise that’s loved by fans was a real honour for us,” said game producer Adam Vassee. ![]() And it's all wrapped up in the distinctive, colourful art style that the SteamWorld series is known for. The game has been built from the ground up with both PC gaming and consoles in mind, meaning the UI should work just as well with a controller, as it does with a mouse and keyboard. “After losing plenty of hours getting sucked into the amazing gameplay loop they’ve created between overground city-building and underground mining, I can tell you that I’m really proud of what they’ve managed to do within the SteamWorld universe.” “When The Station joined Thunderful in 2020 and told us that they wanted to make a city builder, we thought it offered a great opportunity for SteamWorld and Thunderful to move into another new genre,” said SteamWorld franchise director Brjánn Sigurgeirsson. As well as the city building gameplay of titles such as Anno and SimCity, SteamWorld Build will also send you into the mines under the city, as you fight off the local wildlife, and attempt to mine the precious ore that lies in wait. SteamWorld Build makes you the architect of a SteamWorld mining town, responsible for creating houses, food, and entertainment for your growing population. Thunderful Games has announced SteamWorld Build, the next entry in the SteamWorld franchise.
